The new static pressure transition smoke collection hood is a new type of smoke collection and exhaust system that can stably cope with the large and frequent fluctuations in the production flue gas volume of semi-enclosed submerged arc furnaces such as silicon metal and ferrosilicon.
The overall structure of the smoke hood is in the shape of a bird's nest, consisting of a flat smoke hood, a ring static pressure box, and a transition static pressure box. The new type of hood retains the flat top structure at the center of the hood, which is effectively combined with the peripheral protruding ring static pressure box. The new type of static pressure hood for submerged arc furnaces has the characteristics of thick smoke layer, strong smoke storage capacity, and good smoke exhaust effect. The special structural design can play a good role in pressure equalization and smoke flow guidance, and can stably solve the problems of material collapse and large fluctuations in smoke volume during furnace compaction, unstable flue gas pressure in the furnace, smoke from the furnace door, and the phenomenon of smoke “sucking through and carrying materials” at the flue gas outlet. It is currently the most advanced technology in the mechanical structure of semi-enclosed submerged arc furnaces.
